The astrologer
So many people have a misconception about what exactly is the mission and the purpose of the astrologer. Some people think that the astrologer is a healer or doctor, other that the astrologer is a fortune teller or even magician… of course neither of above is correct
This is the reason I wanted to explain shortly about the astrologer and his/her figure. For me the astrologer is the one that makes the connection between the Universe and the person through his/her natal astrological chart. When I am doing my reading I have a feeling that my consciousness is opening as though there is some kind of a hole on my head and I start the chart interpretation as if someone from above tells me what to say . its a strange feeling …maybe this sounds stupid or funny, but I really think that the astrologer is some kind of energy tool that connects the human and the Cosmos – the one that gives you the light and help you understand life – and you need to have special type of personality…astrology is not only planets and calculations, astrology is intuition, soul and spirituality.
Its not enough to be a good mathematician ( to be honest, I am the worst mathematician….i have Mercury and Ketu together..if you know the basics of Vedic you will understand me haha),
you need to feel and understand the astrology culture and understand the purpose of the astrology and of course to respect it. You need to have the talent to be astrologer…which is given by Universe…
in the magnificent book, that I recommend to everybody, The Art and Science of Vedic astrology, written by Richard Fish and Ryan Kurczak, you can find a brilliant description of the role of astrologer:
